The inspiration for this painting started with the beautiful large turquoise vase, balanced by the delicate small turquoise vase, which is the focal point. I kept most of the composition darker to create a quiet mood, and introduced varying textures, complexity of details, and complementing colors, from the smooth porcelain to the brass plate, the fabric, and the delicate little flowers.. Also, the tiny blue eggshell reinforces the turquoise colors.
