A lifetime love of grand Live Oaks led me to capture this graceful giant as the sunlight filtered through its Spanish Moss covered lateral branches. Filling the painting with the tree seemed to appropriately honor its unusual ability to grow wider than it is tall. The Live Oak seems to traditionally represent the beauty of the Deep South.
