This painting was based off a plein air painting and photo of the same subject. I painted over the course of three sessions to complete the plein air then scaled it up in my studio using those paintings and a photo. This garden is located in Pineland Farms, a popular destination in southern Maine. The entire property is a source of inspiration for me when choosing subject matter; Farm buildings, cattle, horses, flowers, etc.
