Yellow Dog Confluence

The Coeur d'Alene River is near my home, and the North Fork is one of my favorite places to spend a day or go camping. I caught one of the last days of nice weather last fall and spent it exploring. The water was low enough that I could walk a ways out where Yellow Dog Creek joins the river, and enjoy this view. It was quietly magical with butterflies, small insects, rising fish, the effects of the wind, the patterns of the water moving over and around rocks, and so much more.
