I have such a fond memory of cattails When I was young, we used live by a lake and all the neighborhood kids would pick the cattails. We would sword fight or use the fluffy pieces to ice our mud pies. So when I saw this scene with the cattails in the water, I just had to paint them using soft pastel on sanded paper.
