Pulling into a rest stop on my way home from Texas, I couldn't believe my eyes. The wildflowers were everywhere!! I jumped out of the car and took so many pictures. I couldn't wait to get home and start a series of my surprise rest stop visit!! I used pastel with alcohol to create the feeling of some of the stems. Then soft pastel to capture the flowers and the distant tree.
