Buttercup was a dear pup we adopted as a senior. She did not have a good life until we rescued her. She had the most soulful face and she was so very grateful for our love and care that it came through in her smile. I captured her personality using larger flat/filbert brushes and kept the whole composition loose. She was laid back and this style of painting seemed to suit her well!
