Into the Light

Our kitty, Banjo, is a one-eyed boy. We adopted him from a hoarding situation and unfortunately he had a badly damaged eye that was removed. His other eye is also damaged but he appears to see (but we are not sure what his world looks like). Certain sensations, like sunlight, make him sparkle and he comes alive with activity! I used a lot of texture in this alla prima painting to capture his energy as he is getting ready to ponce after being bathed in sunlight!
