Smokey Hollow Waterfalls

These spectacular falls, also known as Grindstone Falls, Waterdown Falls or Great Falls, are a beautiful ribbon waterfall in a deciduous forest setting. The 10 metre tall waterfall, is surrounded by a section of the Bruce Trail and is part of the ravine formed by Niagara Escarpment. It’s an inspiring natural wonder for artists like me. The rock shapes surrounding the falls are as visually important as the falls themselves. Layering paint with a brayer, silicone shapers and palette knife creates the texture I want to capture for this scenic splendor.
