Fading Light

Majority of my ideas come from personal experiences with nature. Experiences with light, hiking experiences with loved ones, backpacking, camping, trail running, and plein air painting as some examples. This painting was created in the studio after a cross country skiing adventure with one of my best friends. He and I pushed it all day and took a moment on top of this hill overlooking Cadillac, Michigan. As a Michigander, winter skies have always deeply moved me.
