This painting was done as a plein air exercise and completed in the studio. My original contained a barn and fences unlike the
stone wall that is shown. I often change the details in a painting as I go along, seeing a very different vision as I paint. As sunset
is coming, the two cows are content, knowing that they will soon be returned to the barn.
