This piece was inspired by the moon coming up over Hunting Island, near Beaufort, SC. I had walked out into the marsh using a boardwalk to get reference for the sunset on the marsh. However, when I turned back towards the island, I was captivated by last rays of the sun hitting the trees and the moon just above the horizon. Oil on linen.
