I was motivated to take this photo and also do the painting when I saw the morning light illuminating him and making his fluffy hair glow like a scruffy ethereal halo. Illustrating the light effects and capturing the adoration I have of the subject was my inspiration. (P.S. He has Bell’s Palsy so the eye on the right side is as it appears and is not due to inaccurate drawing)
