This is a pretty large plein air landscape that I painted on the river bank in Rye. East Sussex where I live. I paint this subject regularly and love it when the tide is out. This was painted on a cold January day using my take it easel and I was captivated by the glass like mud . The boats appeared as if my magic just as I was about to pack up!
