Broken Heart, Late Start

This painting was commissioned by a good friend who I've wanted to paint for a long time. I thought I'd be painting him as a master ceramist, but he had just gone through a season of life-changing events and had begun a serious endeavor to focus on his skills as a musician and song writer featuring his incredible blues voice.
